YARDED UP

700x500mm

This drone image was taken at shearing time, late in the afternoon, with approximately 2400 sheep in the yards. Each animal passes through the draft to be divided into relevant mobs, before heading into the shed to be shorn.

PATIENTLY WAITING

940x350 mm

Our annual shearing is held in May of each year. This will be for approximately 2 weeks, depending on the number of sheep we are running at the time. I can be found with my camera or drone in hand early in the morning and late in the afternoon while the yards are full, sheep are patiently waiting, or the last are counted out for the day.

STIRRUPS & SPURS

Horses play a big role in many people’s lives. They are used daily for work, especially in the cattle industry, or they can be found competing in the campdraft arena on a weekend. Campdrafting is one of only 3 sports officially recognized as being developed in Australia.
